The almost one meter high woman torso made of fragile glass does not break under the weight of glass. At the backside of the nude, the ’flesh’ of the naked body transforms into wing-like veils. The body’s proportions convey sturdiness, while the veils, airiness to the statue. The Nike of Samothrace comes to one’s mind. The glass statue is fixed to the marble base with small, bronze arches evoking plants or tiny waves compared to the large proportions of the nude, which is a technical achievement in itself.
