From the end of the 1990s, his interest in the technique of lost-wax casting led Emil Eory to launch his inventive figurine series. His imaginatively simplified compositions combining nonfigurative and anthropomorphic elements express simultaneously the dramatic, the humorous, the grotesque and the playful. The arm-, and faceless woman torso is both dramatic and frail, while her body covered with a single, horizontal surface conveys elegance. The representation shows the influence of cubism.
